Do you know how hard it can be to notice when something is changing? We live our lives as we always have. It’s only after some time has passed, when we look back at history, that we realize what we’ve actually experienced.

AI – an immersive journey into the future, we step into the world of artificial intelligence. In a short time, AI has become part of our everyday lives and is changing the way we work, how we communicate, and how we access information. But how does the technology really work? And what happens when the line between human and machine begins to blur?

This WISDOME production is for anyone who wants to learn more about artificial intelligence and better understand the time we are living in.

Tomas Nordmark composed the immersive score for the fulldome film ‘AI – an immersive journey into the future’ together with sound designer Pär Carlsson for Visualization Center CWisdome.

BECOMING is a collaboration between filmmaker Shelley Hopkins and musician and composer Tomas Nordmark.

In 2025 the work was featured as part of the official selection at Ghent International Film Week 2025 in the “Rabbit Hole” program, celebrating avant-garde and immersive works in contemporary film and was awarded ‘Best Installation Film’ at the festival. The film has since been awarded awards at Cannes International Film Week (Cannes Avant-Garde Award), The Ardennes International Film Festival (Best Experimental Film) and New Jersey Independent Film Festival (Best Experimental Film)

Allein
Opera — 2025

ALLEIN is a solo vocal imagining of Richard Strauss’ Elektra, in which characters emerge as ghost personas from within one tormented Psyche, alone in the remnants of childhood ruins.

ALLEIN is performed and conceived by opera singer and multi-disciplinary artist Heather Green, with composer/artist Tomas Nordmark channeling Strauss’ classic score into a darkly modern sonic world situated in the shadows between the electronic and the acoustic space.

Wie Verklärt
Film score — 2020

 

Wie Verklärt is a feature-film-length expanded staging for camera of Wagner’s Wesendonck-Lieder directed by Glen Sheppard and features Tomas Nordmark as a performer and sound artist.

Diese Männerfantasie, in denen das Weib als Fleischwerdung des Bösen zugleich verdammt und vergöttert wird, ist für den kanadischen Regisseur Glen Sheppard der Ausgangspunkt für seine Dekonstruktion der Oper. Für ihn ist Salome zuvörderst ein Sprachohr für all das, was im Keller der männlichen Psyche eingekerkert ist und zur Ohnmacht führt, sich in Beziehungen zu setzen – sowohl zu sich selbst als auch zu Frauen. Zusammen mit dem schwedischen Komponisten Tomas Nordmark wurde die Vorlage in einem Monolog verwandelt.

AUSSER SICH is a radical reworking of Richard Strauss’s seminal opera SALOME, a somewhat immersive monologue version, recomposed by noted minimalist composer Tomas Nordmark.
